When Caleb, a young and talented programmer is announced as the winner to take part in a groundbreaking experiment, he jumps at the opportunity.

Taken into the secluded estate of the CEO of his company, Caleb meets Nathan, an arrogant and sometimes volatile man, so used to living in isolation, that his entire house is fitted like the maze of a computer system—everything electronic, programmed and linked.

It is there that Caleb learns about Ava, a female Artificial Intelligence who looks and acts so advanced, Caleb’s job is to test whether she could pass as human.

During the process Caleb starts to connect with Ava, they share a bond and he begins to sympathize with her situation.

When Caleb learns that Ava’s fate may be in question, he devises a plan to help Ava escape the hands of Nathan.
